Abstract
One of the most important aspects oftechnology in education is its ability to level the field ofopportunity for students. Technology can be apowerful tool for transforming learning. It can helpaffirm and advance relationships between educatorsand students, reinvent our approaches to learning andcollaboration, shrink long-standing equity andaccessibility gaps, and adapt learning experiences tomeet the needs of all learners. Our schools, community colleges, adult learningcenters and universities should be incubators ofexploration and invention. Educators should becollaborators in learning, seeking new knowledge andconstantly acquiring new skills alongside theirstudents. Education leaders should set a vision forcreating learning experiences that provide the righttools and supports for all learners to thrive. However,to realize fully the benefits of technology in oureducation system and provide authentic learningexperiences, educators need to use technologyeffectively in their practice. Furthermore, educationstakeholders should commit to working together to usetechnology to improve education. These stakeholdersinclude leaders, teachers, faculty, and other educators,researchers, policymakers, funders technologydevelopers, community members and organizations,and learners and their families and of course, Ed-TechStart-Ups. In educational institutions at all levels, instructorsare making use of technologies to impart informationto the students in terms of academic concepts.Furthermore, students are encouraged to make use oftechnologies to prepare their assignments and projects.The members of the educational institutions need toaugment their competencies and abilities that wouldenable them to carry out their tasks satisfactorily. Themain concepts that have been taken in account in thisresearch paper include, significance and meaning ofinnovation in education, benefits of innovation andeducational technologies, barriers to innovation ineducation, and shaping of innovation by humancapital.
