Abstract
Visually impaired individuals face numerous challenges in navigating their surroundings safely and independently. This research paper presents the implementation of a Smart Alert System designed to assist visually impaired persons in detecting obstacles, identifying objects, and enhancing situational awareness. The system integrates ultrasonic sensors, computer vision, and machine learning techniques to provide real-time audio and haptic feedback. The proposed solution utilizes a wearable device equipped with proximity sensors to detect obstacles and a camera module for object recognition. Advanced algorithms process the captured data, enabling efficient obstacle avoidance and contextual awareness. The system also incorporates GPS and voice assistance to aid in navigation. Extensive testing and evaluation demonstrate the effectiveness of the system in improving mobility and safety for visually impaired users. The study highlights the potential of assistive technologies in empowering individuals with visual impairments and fostering greater independence
