Abstract
In the ever-evolving realm of software development, DevOps has emerged as a vital tool for enhancing collaboration, streamlining processes, and expediting delivery. Nevertheless, the realm of monitoring and observability within DevOps environments presents formidable obstacles, often resulting in delayed problem identification, inefficient troubleshooting, and compromised service quality. These difficulties arise from the intricate and constantly changing nature of DevOps environments, where traditional monitoring tools often prove inadequate, resulting in blind spots that can conceal performance issues and system failures. This study confronts these challenges by introducing an innovative approach to enhance monitoring and observability in DevOps environments. Our solution, known as Intelligent Monitor, harnesses real-time data gathering, intelligent analytics, and automated anomaly detection fueled by advanced technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence. Experimental outcomes illustrate that Intelligent Monitor adeptly manages data overload, alleviates alert fatigue, and enhances system transparency, thereby elevating performance and reliability. For example, there was a notable 9.10% reduction in average CPU usage across all components, indicative of improved CPU efficiency. Likewise, memory utilization and network traffic exhibited average increases of 7.33% and 0.49%, respectively, signaling more resource-efficient usage. By providing profound insights into system performance and facilitating swift issue resolution, this research makes a significant contribution to the DevOps community, offering a comprehensive solution to one of its most pressing challenges. This, in turn, promotes more efficient, dependable, and robust software development and delivery processes.
