Abstract
The AI Classroom Monitoring System is an advanced technological solution that leverages artificial intelligence to automate and enhance classroom management. This system aims to reduce the manual workload of instructors and administrators by automating critical tasks such as attendance tracking and behavioral monitoring. By using cutting-edge technologies like face recognition, object detection, and real-time monitoring, the system ensures that all students are accounted for, and their behavior complies with institutional policies.The system utilizes YOLOv7 for fast and accurate face detection, capable of identifying multiple students simultaneously, even in crowded environments. Face recognition, a library based on deep learning, is used for identifying and matching student faces with pre-registered encodings. This ensures that the attendance system is highly accurate and eliminates the need for manual intervention. Once a students face is detected, the system logs their attendance automatically.In addition to attendance tracking, the system also ensures that students are adhering to institutional policies, such as wearing their ID cards and following the dress code. It uses object detection algorithms to verify compliance, and if a violation is detected, real-time alerts are sent to administrators through WhatsApp using the Twilio API. The system seamlessly integrates with the institution's timetable, ensuring that attendance is logged only during scheduled class times. By automating these processes, the AI Classroom Monitoring System improves efficiency, reduces errors, and allows instructors to focus more on teaching, while maintaining better discipline and compliance within the classroom.
