Abstract
Context and objectives: The family Menispermaceae, which includes the genus Cocculus, is home to roughly 35 species of woody climbers and shrubs. Egypt is home to just one species, Cocculus pendulus. According to traditional medical systems, this plant has good medicinal qualities. Despite the fact that C. pendulus is widely distributed throughout the Egyptian deserts, little attention has been made to its morphological description, biochemical composition, or genetic makeup, or environmental factors.Cocculus pendulus Diels, a member of the Menispermaceae family, is referred to as "Parwatti" locally and is used as an aphrodisiac as well as a component of medications for syphilis, jaundice, yellow fever, and leprosy. The current investigation sought to quantify the antibacterial and antioxidant properties of four different plant speciesethanol extracts.the genome's composition and environment, as well as the effects of Cocculus pendulus, Teucrium polium, Varthemia candicans, and Cassia javanica on multidrug-resistant bacterial isolates, have been overlooked
