ABSTRACTAngina pectoris is a condition characterized by chest pain or uncomfortable due to lower blood flow to the heart muscle. It can be caused by various factors, including coronary artery spasm, atherosclerosis, smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, lack of physical exercise, family history, and stress. Treatment involves a combination of lifestyle changes and medications tailored to the underlying causes. Lifestyle changes include adopting a heart-healthy diet, quitting smoking, maintaining a healthy weight, regular physical activity, and stress management. Medications may include calcium channel blockers, nitrates, antiplatelet drugs, statins, and blood pressure-controlling medications. Severe cases may require procedures like angioplasty or coronary artery bypass surgery. The global market for angina pectoris drugs is on the rise, driven by increasing heart-related illnesses and risk factors, with a projected CAGR of 4.6%. COVID-19 impacted the market, but the demand for angina drugs is expected to increase due to the implications of heart disease among COVID-19 patient.
