Abstract
The development of humanoid security robots integrated with computer vision represents a significant advancement in home security systems. This project aims to design and implement a humanoid robot equipped with state-of-the-art computer vision techniques to effectively monitor residential environments, detect potential security threats, and alert homeowners in real-time. By leveraging advanced computer vision algorithms for real-time visual data processing, the robot can identify and classify objects, recognize faces, and detect unusual activities within its environment. Additionally, the humanoid robot is designed to navigate through various home layouts autonomously, utilizing sophisticated movement algorithms to traverse obstacles and adapt to dynamic environments, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the monitored area. Upon detecting a potential threat, the robot promptly notifies homeowners through a user-friendly interface, enhancing their ability to respond to security incidents. This project not only aims to enhance home protection but also seeks to improve overall safety and security for homeowners. By reducing reliance on traditional security measures, such as static cameras and alarm systems, the humanoid security robot offers a proactive and intelligent solution to modern security challenges. The findings from this project could pave the way for further advancements in robotics and artificial intelligence, particularly in the fields of home automation and security. Future research may explore the integration of additional sensors, improved machine learning models, and the potential for collaboration with other smart home devices
