Abstract
The "Anti-Sleep Glasses" project integrates cuttingedge IoT technology to tackle the pervasive issue ofdrowsiness in situations demanding prolongedattention, such as driving and studying. At its core, thesystem incorporates an Arduino Nano microcontrollerinterfaced with an infrared (IR) sensor, LED, buzzer, resistors, and a compact 3.7V battery, all ingeniouslymounted onto a lightweight glasses frame. Positionedstrategically near the eye, the IR sensor continuouslymonitors infrared reflections, detecting subtle changesthat indicate potential drowsiness, such as eyelidclosure. Upon detecting such indicators, the sensortriggers the Arduino Nano, which swiftly processes theinput and activates the alert system. This systemcomprises a visually conspicuous LED and an audiblydistinct buzzer, ensuring immediate and dual-modealerts to the wearer. The construction emphasizesergonomic design and seamless integration, ensuringthe wearer's comfort and unimpeded functionality. Theprogramming, facilitated by an Arduino Uno as aprogrammer, involves sophisticated algorithms tointerpret sensor data accurately, distinguishing normalconditions from critical alerts, thus enhancing safetyand productivity in real-time scenarios.
